Cold Fusion Video Reviews is a film resource for viewers who enjoy looking closely at the unusual: the monster in a rubber suit, the city built from a handful of sets, the action sequence with an unexpected solution and the ambitious idea that outgrows its budget.
What the notes look for
A genre label is a starting point. The individual entries consider how a film works through framing, performance, sound, effects, pacing and the choices of its characters. A rough surface can contain an inventive idea; expensive polish can still leave a film with little to say.
Choose by curiosity
Use the film index for a particular title or the double bills to compare films around a shared question. These are viewing notes, with discussion of premises and themes. They are not a promise to keep every discovery secret.
