Burial Ground confines its living characters near an ancient threat that has no intention of remaining underground. The zombies' degraded faces and deliberate movement make decay itself the spectacle. An isolated property turns retreat into a succession of temporary solutions, each door or window becoming a test of the household's security. Watch how the film uses proximity rather than speed: a slowly approaching body can become unbearable when the person facing it has run out of places to move.
