Legion of the Night makes the engineered fighter a problem of ownership. A body that can be improved, revived or programmed becomes attractive to people who would rather command than persuade. The film's action is most interesting when it tests whether a human bond survives an attempt to turn a person into equipment. Watch how laboratory scenes and combat scenes describe the same body differently, one as a project to manage and the other as a source of consequences that escape the plan.
