The Return of Captain Sinbad points toward an adventure built from voyages, strange places and a hero whose reputation arrives before he does. A useful viewing guide for Sinbad material is to follow the relationship between a marvel and a practical task: a creature matters because somebody must pass it, escape it or discover its weakness. The title identifies an unreleased project rather than a conventional widely circulated feature. Keep that distinction in mind when comparing its premise with completed Sinbad adventures.
