Street Asylum makes the relation between law enforcement and unstable institutional power into a source of paranoia. A badge can authorize action without making the motives behind it clear. Watch how the protagonist learns the rules of his assignment and what happens when professional obedience becomes difficult to separate from complicity. The urban action setting is most effective when apparently routine instructions acquire a second meaning, turning familiar streets into territory controlled by an arrangement the officer does not fully understand.
